The 2035 Long Range Plan, formally known as the 2010 - 2035 Statewide Intermodal Transportation Plan (SITP), is a guide to develop the state's transportation system to promote better mobility in and around Oklahoma communities for the next 20 years. The study includes all means of person travel as well as goods movement. The study will address roads, bridges, transit, rail facilities, airport access, ports, pedestrians & cyclists.
The Long Range Plan updates the current status of transportation in the state, identifies future needs, outlines financing options and captures the desires of the public.
The planning process should answer some vital questions like:
Outcomes of the Long Range Transportation Plan include policy recommendations on planning and funding objectives to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) and elected and government officials.
The Plan will help:
identify the state's transportation priorities, strengths and challenges
